Terms of Service

Effective Date: 13. July 2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("ToS") carefully before using the Beans - Coffee Log mobile application ("App") provided by Hannes Jung (referred to as "Developer). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these ToS.

Use and Restrictions:

  • The App is intended for personal use only and should not be used for any illegal activities.
  • Users are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data entered into the App.
  • Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the App.

Free and Premium Features:

The App is free to download and use with limited functionality. A one-time purchase or subscription ("Premium") unlocks additional features:

  • Free Tier: Includes core functionality with limits, such as a maximum of 3 coffee ("beans") entries and a maximum of 3 café entries.
  • Premium: Removes these limits (unlimited coffee and café entries) and unlocks additional features such as the Brew Advisor dial-in suggestions.

Syncing your data across your devices via iCloud is included for all users, free of charge, and is not a Premium feature.

Subscriptions, Pricing and Renewal:

Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription or as a one-time purchase:

  • Monthly subscription: auto-renewing, billed monthly.
  • Yearly subscription: auto-renewing, billed yearly at a discounted price compared to the monthly subscription. The yearly subscription includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
  • Lifetime license: a non-recurring one-time purchase that grants full access to Premium features for as long as the App is available on the App Store.

Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.

You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Previously purchased items can be restored via the "Restore Purchases" option in the App.

App Store Terms:

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use of it is also subject to the applicable terms and conditions set forth by Apple. Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple; the Developer does not process or store your payment information.

By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these ToS.
